Mountain Creek Web Design is a freelance web design service. I am located just outside Maryville, Tennessee, in the Great Smoky Mountains,
about 1 hour south of Knoxville. The photos at the top and bottom of this website are actual photos taken by my wife in the mountains not far from
where we live.
I started designing websites over 10 years ago, mostly for family & friends. Occasionally, I would build a website for someone that needed an
online presence, either for personal reasons or small business.
One of my first professional websites was a 20 page real estate website that had so many features I called it a monster site at that time. Some of
the features included access to search the MLS, daily mortgage rates feed, mortgage applications, and featured listings. It also included 90
reports with all kinds of real estate information that potential clients could have emailed to them. After that, I built 3 more real estate websites and
they all had a very different look and feel to them.
Since then, I've been performing freelance website designing for clients as well as myself. I've owned multiple websites myself for different
purposes, with some including online stores. Some of these websites are listed on this site. Every website I design is done completely from
scratch, including most graphics. I use 3 website design programs for designing websites, depending on what I'm doing, and 2 graphics design
programs. I personally have owned over a dozen domain names and numerous affiliate sites I work with.

In 2008 I launched a new website, Link-Galaxy, which at the time was the largest website I've ever built. Link Galaxy is a free service providing
internet links and search engines to the most popular websites used today. Link-Galaxy features 46 categories of the most popular websites, with
the use of graphical links instead of text links for easier viewing & recognition. Other features includes a Top 100 Website category on the home
page, 13 on-site search engines, an online store powered by Amazon, plus you can search the internet from any page with Google's search
engine.
The second version of this website, which was a complete redesign, was launched in February 2009. In July 2009, I redesigned Link-Galaxy again
adding a lot more content along with a new, more streamlined, graphical interface. In March 2011, I re-designed it again and added 2 more
categories and about 150 more website links.
In January, 2010, I redesigned LInk-Galaxy for the 4th time by completely changing the navigation system, adding more categories, and changing
the overall layout structure of my ad campaigns and utilizing rotating banners at set intervals and sizes per category.
Link-Galaxy has a unique concept unlike any website I've seen. In fact, there aren't any websites quite like it anywhere online today. The closest

The largest website I've built so far is a 259 page website with some very unique features to it. When I
design websites, I keep track of what I've done by creating a scoreboard for each website I build. When
I've completed a website, I merge that information into another scoreboard I call my stats sheet. This
allows me to show at a glance and to help keep track of what I've done on each website. I calculate how
many pages each website has, how many photos/graphics, website links, ads/banners, songs, videos,
search engines, and the dates each one is updated. I also total out each category for a grand total of all
the work I've done. This little extra step I take can be very tedious and time consuming but I consider it to
be a major part of what I do as a website designer. I am a very detailed-oriented person with a strong
belief that "organization is the key to any successful business". My current website stats are shown here
as of 2010.
